The Ashbel Woodward Museum is located at 387 Route 32 (Norwich-New London Turnpike) in North Franklin, CT, but please note the specific entry point for our driveway:
Main Entrance Note: Our main driveway entrance is located just around the corner off Plains Road, rather than directly on Route 32. Look for the museum signs near the intersection.
From Route 32 Northbound: Turn right onto Plains Road, and the museum driveway will be immediately on your left.
From Route 32 Southbound: Turn left onto Plains Road, and the driveway will be on your left.
Parking: public parking is available in upper lot
We welcome all visitors to the Ashbel Woodward Museum and strive to make our historic grounds as accessible as possible:
Accessible Parking: Designated handicap parking spaces are available in the upper parking lot near the museum entrance.
Building Access: The museum features a handicap-accessible ramp providing smooth entry into the historic home.
Grounds & Gardens: The main walkways leading to the historic museum and the surrounding garden pathways are level and accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, and walking aids.
