Special Group Tours are now available
Step back in time and help bring history to life! The primary role of our re-enacting community is to support the Ashbel Woodward Museum's living history events, educational programs, and special celebrations. Whether you want to volunteer by order of Governor Trumbull with Latimer’s Battalion of Connecticut Militia (Captain Lathrop’s Company) or portray other vital local historical figures, your participation directly enhances the museum's mission. As a re-enactor, you will have the unique opportunity to recreate the lived experiences of early Connecticut residents, engage museum visitors with interactive history, and honor our heritage during major events.
No Experience Required: We welcome history enthusiasts of all backgrounds and skill levels who want to support the museum.
Join the Franklin Historical Society: To get involved, simply fill out the membership form and select the Re-enactor add-on ($25.00). If you wish to participate strictly as a re-enactor to support museum events without full society benefits, you can choose to pay just the re-enactor fee.
Sign Up Today: Ready to enlist for service? Download the membership form directly from our site, select your involvement level, and return it via email to franklinhistoryroom@gmail.com or by mail.
Don't risk being left on the sidelines—volunteer today and help us preserve and share the vibrant stories of our heritage!
