As of 1/1/25 The Museum will be closed for us to build new exhibiting. We look forward to see you soon!
Education:
We work to present programs at the museum and other locations in town to teach the public about our history and how Franklin has played an important role in history. We have lively presentations, living history events, reenactments, exhibits, and more.
Documentation/Research
We work to research and document local landmarks and historical locations in our own backyard.
Oral Histories
The history is not always objects, or in structures. Very often the history is with individuals. Their experiences and memories are what put life into those old objects and buildings. Over the years we have been actively collecting these oral histories and stories that help color the landscape of Franklin. If you have some stories to tell or know someone who does please contact us.
Artifacts:
FHS holds an extensive eclectic collection of Franklin history that expands centuries
The museum holds a collection of artifacts that fit within Dr Woodward's lifetime
The Franklin School House Collection is an extensive collection of Franklin's school district since the beginning
