Volunteer Opportunities at the Ashbel Woodward Museum

The Ashbel Woodward Museum is currently looking for eager volunteers to assist in museum projects. Principally the Museum is looking for volunteers to assist in digitizing the Museum and Franklin Historical Society’s collections. However, we do have volunteering opportunities for other projects within the museum. The volunteer hours can vary depending on the activities.  We offer a teen volunteer program that allows your teen's time to be documented as community service. 

 Volunteers must be able to climb up narrow stairs and lift boxes. Training on specific computer programs will be given as required although a basic familiarity with computers is encouraged.

We are actively looking to grow our FRIENDS GROUP. The Friends help in a variety of ways to make the Board's goal's become a reality. They support museum activities and events both financially and with man power, they are the "working volunteers' that perform museum staff duties anything from docents, reenactors, working events, archives and more... The list is endless.  Franklin Residency Is NOT required.
